Never had experience with one in real life but my buddy has a fake acog on his paintball gun. works pretty good! its actually a red dot not a magnified scope. Seems to hold zero even if you drop it. I dont know how the aimpoints would do on a real gun though. holding zero and reticle brightness would be the 2 biggest issues.

No warranty would be my guess and the warranty with anything is what I look for in an investment. Not to mention reliability when the thing is needed the most. I'd put it on a paint-ball gun but not an my ass saver!

If you are looking to get a feel for a certain optic type... eh, it's a hit or miss thing. They are close but not nearly as good as a real EOTech, AimPoint or ACOG. They are meant for AirSoft weapons with no recoil and no real abuse. They will basically function, but don't bet your life on any of the knock offs. Save your pennies and get the real deal of which ever RDS you are inclined towards.

Real Optics on Real Weapons, knock offs on fakes.

haha that one belongs to BigPopa on here. Not sure what he has in it, but im guessing about 500-700 bucks in that one. I have the Tippman Alpha Black, which is modeled after an AR. We flat-topped it, and upgraded the barrel and im running a fake eotech. fake eotech that runs of button cells is a POS by the way... batteries only last about 45 minutes...

Don't know anything about Aimpoint clones but have had very good luck with the Vortex Strikefire. $150.00 with an AR mount shipped to your door. Comes with a warranty that reminds me of Dillon. Real good people to deal with.
