    Default Got Welder?

Any one around here have access or own a welder that would be willing to work with me making a Ding / Gong target?
I can weld as well.... just been a while.

I'm down in the Springs, but if nobody closer is able, I'm game.

Yup, got one, truck mounted even. Bring the steel and maybe a beer and I'll build anything you want.

Sometimes its cheaper, and safer, in the long run to buy targets from a manufacturer.

Pitted steel can cause some serious safety concerns.

Trust me, I know a thing or two about steel targets. I own about $10,000 worth of steel and am the Match Director the the 2009 Regional Steel Challenge.

All the below did was cause my bottom joint to lock up and bleed all over the place.

$10,000 worth of steel? WTF Tom? Are you looking to steel-line your own 20 position/50 yard indoor range?

Sorry to bust in on this thread, but I've got 6 disc brake rotors that I've been trying to figure out how to use for gong targets. Any ideas?

Damn Hoser, That looks like a nice splinter ya got there.

Not sure how hard it would be to drill two holes at 10 and 2 but if you could then you could chain them up. Of course I would only shot them a long range distance to the the deflection. They would make good 600 yarders or better.

Just my .02 as I have never shot at one that was on a Iraqi vehicle in motion

Most rotors are cast, most likely only be good for a couple rounds. Chain and a tri-pod. And maybe some decent leather gloves?

Better yet, vented rotors? if so, wire rope through the cooling slots, and a tri-pod.
