    Default I'm in Texas!

    Brownsville.........
Visiting the In laws for a week.
Late flights, wrong gates, rental cars bumper falling off, sweltering heat....well in the upper muggy 80's, hotel sucks, Palmetto Bugs (Roaches) as soon as we walked in to the room, shower leaks out the side, no fridge or microwave.....who wants food in here anyway? Hot water is as hot as my cold water at home, pool is as big as my tub and I'm afraid to walk in bare feet.
Buuuuuuut we'll you know what is around here and maybe a shot at some .22 at the new Bass Pro in Harlingen!!!
Gonna make the best of it for the week....now, back to sweating.

I can think of a few places I'd rather be than Brownsville if I were in the Lone Star state.

I'm sorry to hear you are in the valley. I can't say that I've ever enjoyed being there and do not look forward to ever going back. I assume you will go to South Padre. Doesn't everybody?

Be safe and come back in one piece.

If it helps you feel any better about the heat, it was 96 degrees and humid where I was working in Nebraska yesterday.

If the roaches start dying on their own, it's time to swap rooms!

I was in Mineola TX a few weeks ago. Same heat, bugs, humidity but no beer or liquor. Lots of gun shops though.

My thoughts exactly... I would abscond to a much better place for a day, like Corpus (which isn't that much better, but it's a damn sight better than Brownsville. Padre, meh, too much of a fuster cluck. Once you pass San Antonio you're passed all the good stuff TX has to offer. Rico, let us know when you get back, so we know you survived the trip.
