    Based on what the various contractors charged after the flooding in Boulder last September, there's not an estimate out there that will surprise me anymore, no matter how high. I don't know if it was simply a case of opportunism after a storm or if plumbers/carpenters/drywall/roofing people always charge as much as they were at that time but it was staggering what relatively simple jobs were costing (DIY was no-go as the insurance companies required estimates from licensed contractors before paying for the work).

    Go to home depot and buy a new kitchen faucet and disposal. While you install those wait for the $99 rooter guy to show up and fix the crapper. If you can't figure it out see if he will do it for $100 bill since you already removed the old stuff lol.

    On demand heaters rarely pay for themselves.
    Stick with the 50 gallon and if you really need more hot water get a high recovery 50 gallon
