    Default Aimpoint PRO or Eotech?

I have been tossing this up for quite some time now. It'll be going on a BCM M4. I have been debating on the Aimpoint PRO and the smaller EoTech lately. Well, I just got an email from AIM that they have PRO's for $369 delivered, this weekend.
    What are your guys' thoughts?

I'd go with the Aimpoint. No real reason. Just think it looks more at home on an M4 style rifle than an Eotech. In my mind, the Aimpoint screams "military" while the Eotech is a bit more "law enforcement".

From what I've read, the Aimpoint is going to be more durable. What distances are you wanting to shoot? From my experience, the Eotech's utilizing the 65MOA ring were too cluttered for distance shots, while the Aimpoint was much more enjoyable at further distances. Personally, I think the Aimpoint PRO is the best bang for your buck optic out there.

    Aimpoint.

The Eotech is a good optic, but the Aimpoint is a great optic. I've shot Eotech's plenty of times, but I own Aimpoints. I'd like to have a rifle with an EXPS3-2 one day, but that will be after I have 4-5 more Aimpoints and/or Trijicons.

Try out both and see what works best for you. I know popular opinion goes aimpoint because the battery lasts until the end of times, but I get starbursting with aimpoints and other simple red dots that I don't get with the eotech.

So.. got any shooting buddies near you that have some to try?

Thats the thing. I dont know anybody that has either. Ive only just recently handled an EoTech at Cabela's the other weekend. I like it. But pretty much everybody online says go with AimPoint.
Distances? If it came down to it, I cant see using this rifle for anything outside of 200yards. So, I think either would work.
The AimPoint at this price is way cheaper.

Can't go wrong with either one.

Aimpoints have the best battery live for constant on. If you change the batteries out every 2-3 years on your birthday you should never worry

EOtechs (some if not all) have auto shutoff. So they still last a while with that feature but it's one more thing to remember on a HD or Duty rifle.

I went with Aimpoints because of battery life and weight. But I just picked up a used EOTech.

Too bad you're not down here in COS, I could set you up to shoot both. Surely there's folks on here from up your way who can meet you somewhere and give you a trial I'd hope.
    Any volunteers?

I have an Aimpoint Pro on an AK and an EoTech EXPS-2 on an AR and I love them both. I like the simplicity of the the Aimpoint as well as its amazing battery life. I also like the 65moa ring on the EoTech and while it's battery life is an order of magnitude less than the Aimpoint, it's still not bad. They both come with mounts (integral on EoTech). I wasn't a fan of the included QRP2 mount the Pro comes with though.
