These water laws were in place LONG before liberals took over the government here. Water rights disputes and law are as old as the republic (they used to fight "range wars" over water for chrissake).
As someone else said, our water rights in Colorado were determined before Colorado was a state.

Can you take Udall, Polis, Bennet, Hickenlooper, and all those Kalipornia hippy-wannabes with you? I'm sure they'd be much more at home in California, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maryland, etc. I'll take this state's water rights legacy dating back to the 19th century over the intrusive totalitarian governments in those states any day of the week.
If California would just legalize marijuana ... then many of our troubles would be over.

I don't understand the concern of folks. Do they just not get it that ALL water probably was SOMEONE's sewage water at one point?
Ohh good enough to dump into a stream but not good enough to treat ONE more time then back into the water supply?
