Was down in the springs today at powers and union....monster buck pronghorn right off the west side of powers. Wish I had a picture of him.
This is where someone usually says "Pics or it didn't happen", but I only live 5 minutes from there and know what you're talking about - seen the pronghorns around there myself. Before all of that space was built up, it was nothing but open space from my yard through that area to Hwy 83. I used to have pronghorns come within 50 feet of my house...now they're at least 2 miles away.

I definitely agree with pics or it didn't happen. I'm usually the one to say it! Although I probably would have caused an accident if I tried to get a picture of that brute.
i came close twice on this drive, had a state patrol charger cut me off and slam on his brakes to pull over a blacked out silverado with chihuahua Mexico stickers and no plates and whatnot. He wasn't getting up to speed quick enough getting on 76, didn't use a turn signal, and then almost swerved into a semi.
and had an idiot is a xterra that was in the emergency lane pull out in front of me. He was doing 35ish, I was doing 75 with a full trailer and a weak braked tahoe. Luckily the left lane was open and my braking/swerve saved it. I'm still curious how close the trailer came to him
Years ago I toured through the Rocky Mountain Arsenal and was amazed by the number and size of bucks there. They were humongous, branch antlered mulies. Off limits to hunting, of course. It's been rumored that the animals there have been "chemically enhanced" by all the crap that was dumped at the arsenal, but probably just common to an unhunted population of old deer.
Am I missing something....
Last I checked Powers doesn't intersect with Union.
So I'll say it didn't happen?
BTW anyone that lives in Falcon/Peyton see Antelope every day. Most are on the Banning Lewis Ranch where hunting is prohibited by the land owner.
There are also some monster deer worthy of the all record books just west of I-25 @ Filmore up the hill. At one time I thought it was a monument, then it moved.

I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.
Those dumb speed goats were EVERYWHERE around the base up in Cheyenne. There are times you can slap them on the ass; other times they are crossing the road and stop just to look back at you in your car and give you a smirk of "What bitch, you can't touch me," I loved it when they were inches from being on my front bumper before they moved.
Ah, sorry. Never been north on Powers above Woodman. Just remember it being open pasture.
In the last 10 years I've only been to C.Springs 3 times even though it is only less than 20 miles away.

I live in Pleasant Valley (that neighborhood just south of the Rock Ledge Ranch next to the east entrance to the Garden of the Gods). I've had what would be trophy bucks wander into my front yard on a regular basis ... last year one was eating my hostas and I wanted to shoot him for that alone (plus he looked delicious ... and his head would look cool on the wall ... but mostly he was eating my damn hostas!).
