Turns out I know a guy very familiar with the going-ons around the sheriff's office. He says it's all true. I have no reason not to believe him. What a shame.

Looks like the county commission just unanimously voted requesting that he resign immediately.

He said he intends to serve out the rest of his term (7 mos). Of course this was before the entire county commission voted no confidence, but if he continues to serve it will be very telling of how much of a douche he really is.

Calling for his resignation just because he's been accused of something is a douche move too if you ask me (full disclosure, I believe the probability that the accusations are true to be greater than 50% ... however ALL the accusations and their correlating evidence are coming from 3 guys he disciplined ... and we're not looking at whether they are acting in good faith or just disgruntled).

Would have to agree; and the fact it is an election year! Good way to try, and discredit the side that has been in control for over the last 20 years. From the Sheriff before Anderson to Maketa, and now back to Anderson. Some people are not happy about that, and want the Sheriff's office.
