But you could buy an M16A1 half track. My Army Battalion had one of these for parades and ceremonies. Starting bid is $25. http://www.govliquidation.com/auctio...944-half-truck

Yeah there is no way that will go cheap to many collectors and runs and drives that would awesome to have.
Was in 1986 or 1988 or something around those times that it was deemed that Military vehicles weren't safe for civilians on civilian roads. So after that they couldn't sell newer vehicles to the public.
I think Hummer was the one who started it so that they could see the Hummer to the public and no get flooded with older military ones hitting the market like with the old Dodge Ramcharger and Chevy Blazer markets used to be.
That said, you could go to a foreign country and buy an old Military Hummer from places they were given to like Bolivia and buy on for about $500 and ship it back here.
I considered doing just that, but I wasn't sure I wanted to be making a lot of trips to Bolivia with cash for buying vehicles... and the pay offs for getting them home.
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.
My life working is only preparation for my life as a hermit.
