Playing Spanish music is not catering to illegals, it is catering to the actual (or perceived) majority of your customers. If you're going to walk out of a store because you don't like something about it, you should at least consider telling them, otherwise, it makes no difference.

Only illegals listen to Mexican music. Everyone knows that.

Fight illegal immigration, play more heavy metal.

Someone mentioned mexican food earlier. Does anyone know a good mexican/texmex place in the front range? Its damnably difficult to find good either here, esp when I am used to (literally) having a fantastic taco stand just down the block from me (go Dallas, aka El Dallaso.)

So far I've got as good places: Haciendas Colorado (best so far) in the Tech Center, Jose Muldoons in the Springs and Three Margaritas in Castle Rock. Anyone know any others?

There are about 1,000 good mexican food places around town. Doesn't sound like you're looking hard enough.

I'm a big fan of Jose O'shea's on 6th and Simms in Lakewood. Gordo's on 44th and Wads (temporarily, until they go back to their old location at 6th and Sheridan). We used to eat a lot at The Montery House. It used to be on 6th and Wads, but now it is off of Kipling in Wheat Ridge (north of I-70), but I forget exactly where. Up north in the Federal Heights, Westminster, Thornton area, there are more carnicaritas than gas stations if you are looking for stuff more authentic.

So if playing Spanish music isn't catering to illegals or there is no other agenda behind it, why was the entire customer base that morning in Sportsman's presumably white and English speaking, yet in the 20 minutes I was in there 3 out of 4 songs where in Spanish in a Sporting goods store in the USA? I'm just waiting to see an answer on that one from the peeps on the site.

    * I agree, telling them is vital for communicating. I'm doing it in a roundabout way here at present.

That's actually a pretty good idea.
