A guy in town here has a 59 Apache in pretty decent original shape that I'd kill to get my hands on. He ain't selling, though. I loved the old Chevy trucks my dad drove when I was growing up.

    Here's to pick ups:

Very cool. My dad bought the '73 (year I was born) 4WD Power Wagon when new and years later it would be the first vehicle I would drive after getting my driver's license. It was white with a black lower side, had a roll bar, grille guard, and a rifle rack (actually used for shotguns I think) in the cab. It was pretty reliable, just needed always need to be warmed a bit before heading out.

I learned to drive in my dad's 70-something Dodge pickup. 3 on the tree with no first gear. LMAO It looked pretty close to that picture but I think it was a few years newer.

I miss those days a lot! There were a lot less people; the trails were open before the Clinton roadless B.S.; people actually took care of the back country and didn't leave their shit everywhere, trucks didn't cost as much as a mortgage, and firearms where tools, and treated as such...teens still had their rifle in the truck rack when they went to school, and a bunch of pussified urban dirtbags didn't shoot it up when they got their feelings hurt.

The best Dodge growing up was my friends '78 Ramcharger with a built 440; that thing was a heart pounding terror!!! I regret to this day that I didn't buy it from him when he sold it. I will probably build a 70s Ramcharger or Power Wagon someday (with a 440 of course.) I had a lot of '70 Chevy's through the years. I have a couple of 70's K5s now that I am building for the trails. My sister still has the '69 Chevy 1 ton 4x4 that my dad bought new, which I will take over at some point and build it.
I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.
