303 Arms closed their shop. I think they still have a Facebook page.

Yes, 303 is out of retail now; they are just a training outfit.

It looks like it’s official……………Shadow Op’s has closed the door s for good. Sorry SOB’s. I went by their place twice yesterday and all the lights are off with a “Close” sign in the window. I also heard that the landlord is evicting them for back due rent. I am out a billet upper and a suppressor. The shitty part is the BATF-E tax stamp has been issued about a month ago and these guys sat on it without calling me to do the transfer. I have a call into the local BATF-E office for advice on how to proceed.

Ordered a Shadow Ops lower in March of 2013 and it was available October 2013. The shop is closed on Saturdays but one of the employees made a special trip so I could finally take receipt of my order (he also left me alone with his personal Glock on the desk while he wandered around in the warehouse -- not something I'd do myself -- but very nice guy). No problems with the fit and finish. However, never got any kind of "deal coin" that was supposed to be included, but I'm not in a rush to order anything from them anytime soon. From what the employee was saying and the company's Facebook updates, it seemed like they were trying to expand too fast just based on the panic ordering of early '13.

There are lots of these same stories all over the US. Some had nefarious actions to start with, but many were just trying to cash in on the SandyHook panic. Lots of small ammo companies, small AR manufacturers going out of business all over the US. Some are in deep legal and financial trouble but still trying to keep it all afloat.

Lessons learned...don't pre-order stuff from start-ups. If you order something that won't be in for more than 30 days, don't pay in full. It is better to order some things that are hard to get from a reputable company and pay a tad more for the transfer fee at the LGS. But best bet, get the goods you paid for at the time you pay.

    Seems like a wise decision.

Dang that's disappointing, they all seemed like real nice people and had some cool equipment at the shop.

I still don't think they were bad guys out to screw anybody over. I hope those of you that still have stuff outstanding end up getting it. I feel lucky I bitched at the right time and got mine or I would be in the same boat. Good luck.
