If anybody is curious to close out this thread-without a formal appraisal he said it was about $2500 for insurance purposes but I would have a very hard time selling it. Probably could only get about $100 sqft so about $1500 if sold online. He referenced a peer who works online for that price. Selling to him or putting it on consignment would only yield me $800-1000 so that's a no go. He really recommended keeping it because it's a nice piece.
Not sure what I'll do.
I would ask the mods to move this to the trading post but you guys aren't cultured enough to own such a fine piece (just kidding....sorta....)
