I am sure the "military" version would have to be encrypted, but that is possible right now, and for a lot less than one might think with wireless camera interfaces. I played with one at SHOT for about 20 minutes. Pretty cool.

They also had a rig set up with a mounted iphone. Shooter puts the crosshairs on target, the iphone is sending the image to the commander, which the shooter sees with his left eye in a red haze. The commander's phone had three buttons on the side of his image; "standby" (goes to yellow haze), "engage" (goes solid green, then off) and "disengage" (goes solid red). I tired it without the "cone", but they had a cone that allowed the shooter to see the screen, but cut out all the light so it could not bee seen from the surrounding area.
