Looks like I also need to win the lottery... No chance in hell I'd afford either Google Glass, or that fancy set up to fit on my rifle... at least not for about 15-20 years.

No idea what's on the rifle or how he pulls it off, but that's a game changer. The guys in the sandbox may really appreciate it.

I am sure the "military" version would have to be encrypted, but that is possible right now, and for a lot less than one might think with wireless camera interfaces. I played with one at SHOT for about 20 minutes. Pretty cool.

They also had a rig set up with a mounted iphone. Shooter puts the crosshairs on target, the iphone is sending the image to the commander, which the shooter sees with his left eye in a red haze. The commander's phone had three buttons on the side of his image; "standby" (goes to yellow haze), "engage" (goes solid green, then off) and "disengage" (goes solid red). I tired it without the "cone", but they had a cone that allowed the shooter to see the screen, but cut out all the light so it could not bee seen from the surrounding area.

Same thing that happens when the batteries on a red dot or any of a number of battery powered sighting systems dies ... you switch to irons until you can replace the battery.

The system is about $10K, they're based out of Austin, Texas. They have a couple video's on their web http://tracking-point.com/ that show how the technology works.
