I was just thinking that "sex tapes" as we know them today weren't really a thing until the late 90's early 2000's.

Was film before that. But I get where you're coming from as the technology was cheaper and more available for the 'do it yourselfer'. Was one of the reasons that VHS beat out Betamax in the format wars.
