    Interesting. I had an uncle, aged around 88 now(?) (RIP) that may have spent some time doing stuff like that in Brown County, WI (Green Bay).

    It seems like I read once about some handicapped/special needs folks that made bayonet sheaths during the war - or something like that.....I'm sure there were lots of handicapped folks contributing to the war effort, that's a story that should be told.
