I wondered if that was a simulator, that explains why the guy on the right didn't take any shrapnel with his ass so high in the air. Went on a July 4th fishing trip once with a guy who brought a sackful of those, some artillery simulators, and some parachute flares. He was in the OK Nat. Guard and snagged 'em somehow, they were great fun!

If it is S. Korean then it's probably a variation on the M67. Those are about 6.5oz of Comp B so (despite what Hollywood shows us) it's not a huge explosion. All of the Grenade sims I've used were a blasting cap inside a steel grenade body. They wouldn't explode so much as "pop". They'd do a number on your hand if you were still holding it when it went off but they'd never provide the explosion in the video.
And so we don't loose sight of the purpose of the thread...
