    You reap what you sow... If a person delivers crappy work, people WILL find out about it sooner or later. It's probably better that they find out before they waste time and money hiring that person.

    we're not allowed to give a reference. It's an HR function, they will say "yes" they worked for us. Are they eligible for re-hire "yes/no". Been sued when someone gave a bad reference.
    Sometimes people trip and fall down stairs.
    Sometimes assholes push people down stairs.
    That doesn't mean "stairs are bad" nor does it make someone who pushes someone down the stairs any less of an asshole.

    I had that discussion with a Doctor's wife today. Employee embezzled over 300,000 from the office. Used them as a reference, they had to say, "she would make an alright dog-catcher". Said it numerous times until the new prospective employer finally got the hint. TOTAL CRAP that you can't tell the truth these days.

    I got no problem with the WFH 2 days (would prefer always), but you show up on time for the interview, and as needed to meetings or job sites.
