Don't overthink the usage of the word "draped". Mostly used old sheets. Still didn't look great, but it was better than reading UHAUL every time I passed by it. My desk was an old door on two sawhorses. Later replace the saw horses with two double drawer file cabinets to collect paperwork. My first dining table was a cable spool I found on the side of the road, which I had to disassemble to get through the door. Again, sheeted it over and it didn't look terrible. well, it didn't look terrible to me and it was better than standing at the counter to eat or sitting on the floor.

It took a few years to redecorate to a more early-modern goodwill vibe.

    ^^^this.

Mrs bo made me get a regular "furniture" book case and ent center before we were married.

She shopped for wedding dresses and I shopped for real furniture.

Cardboard? I guess I was high class. Only 1x8's and cinder blocks for me.

As a bonus, most of what wasn't broken or rendered unusable got re-purposed for garage and yard projects after transitioning from apartment to house.

Guess I was ahead of the curve. lol

Too bad it's actually "out front at an Outback". Nice try though.

I remember getting given a broken ent center that I fixed with a few load bearing books when I was a bachelor but that wouldnt fly once I hooked up with my wife so now we are fancier and have an actual ent center
