One of my all time favorite weapon systems! But remember, the Geneva Conventions explicitly state you cannot use a .50BMG against personnel, only equipment, so your intent is always "aiming for the canteen" even if you hit 'em in the neck!
Not to be a dick, but I would like to see where it says in the Geneva Conventions that you can't shoot someone with a 50 cal. You read that all over the internets but I can't find any proof.

Yes and considering all the History Channel type shows showing our snipers shooting human targets with them I'm pretty sure its BS.

I don't know when the Geneva Conventions were, but did they even have .50 cal. rifles back then? Or the .50 bmg round at all?
