Default Eric Cantor Beat in Primary

    http://www.politico.com/story/2014/0...ia-107683.html

Great news: the Establishment Republicrat Eric Cantor, and by extension the corrupt, larcenous Establishment GOP, has been given the heave-ho by fed-up Virginia voters. Good riddance to see this crony-capitalist stooge and consummate elitist insider finally get his comeuppance after trying to ram through his illegal alien amnesty.

One hopes that Tom Tancredo, who threw Colorado taxpayers under the bus with his vote to bail out the Wall Street grifters with $700 billion in TARP free gambling money, is also turned out into well-deserved political oblivion for his fecklessness and general douchebaggery.

More on Cantor's loss to an upstart challenger who still espouses Republican principals over corporate payola:

Now it's time to dump the orange-tan crybaby, McStain, and Miss Lindsey Gramnesty and wrest the GOP away from the plutocrats.

To the mindless tool Great-Kazoo who spews empty-headed drivel about "progressive buzz words," maybe, if the throbbing of your lobotomy scars isn't too distracting, you could see who bought and paid for your pseudo-"conservative" Rep. Cantor. No surprise that while small individual donations made up only 2% of his campaign contributions, Wall Street kleptocrats like Goldman Sachs and Blackstone owned his sorry RINO a$$ and wrote his script. He will be generously rewarded for his feckless service to the plutocrats at the expense of U.S. taxpayers and the vanishing middle class.

So are we all sure this is a safe R district or does VA have open primaries and the D just put in someone that cannot win?

When I lived in VA they did not have open primaries. This looks like a case of the Republican base rejecting a Wall Street-owned RINO who for all intents and purposes was indistinguishable from most Democrats.

Cantor will probably pull a Joe Lieberman and run as an Independent, backed by the same crony-capitalist grifters who have backed his previous campaigns. But for now I'm enjoying seeing his lose out to a political novice (Brat) who espouses Republican principals, after Cantor outspent Brat 5 to 1. This will send a definite message to the corrupt, sleazy Establishment GOP.

The GOP needs to wake up. I hope these losses will force them to reevaluate the road they've been taking.

He's getting the story from Politico. Not a hotbed of conservative commentary.

Not that I'm disappointed that Cantor lost, but don't expect the "establishment" to be swayed. They haven't been swayed by any of the many Tea Party type conservatives that have come before so I don't expect this to do much to change the behavior of the old guard republicans. However, if enough Tea Party types are elected, they won't have any choice but to change...because they'll be out of a job. And the Tea Party gets a little stronger every year.
