But in all seriousness, this LTC is one person I wouldn't trust with a gun, and his pompous attitude about being "trained to kill" is kinda frightening.

I think that's what rubs me wrong about this guy...it screams "mall-ninja", which is super scary coming from a sworn officer of the USA.
I also think that he is playing to an audience somewhat. As if anyone except the Slate, MJ, Esq., etc crowd gives 2 shits about what he thinks are valid reasons to own guns.
To question your government is not unpatriotic — to not question your government is unpatriotic.
Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws.

What's sad, is there are probably a few more like him lingering out there like a fart that won't leave the room. I can't say for certain where the hell this country is headed, but as I've said before...If the second American revolution is going to kick off, let's get this shit started already so I can fight in my sons' stead. I'd rather it be done now, before I'm old, stuck to a wheelchair, sucking food through a straw & shitting in a bag. To be honest, not sure the upcoming generation has the stones to stand and fight against tyranny. This country has been breeding a plethora of "sense of self entitlement" along with a side order of; "the government knows best and will take care of me" attitudes. Thanks to people like Bloomberg, Mom's Demand Action & MAIG, etc. who preach that the U.S. will automatically become some sort of grand utopia filled with unicorns and leprechauns shitting skittles once all the guns are taken away from the American people... What's worse is when you get the sheeple soaking that bullshit rhetoric up like a sponge and believing every word they say. FML. /endrant.
