He probably never thought his drawing skills would be so important.

If he's like me, he probably contacted family to let them know he's OK, maybe his boss, and figured he'd take the rest of the day off.

ok so I went in last thing I remember was telling the nurse "I'm feeling the medicine"

    then i woke up....lol

little sore now but I'm able to walk around a little I'm wasted on painkillers so let's see how I feel when they wear off

Glad to hear you're doing OK! You'll man-up and handle it, I'm sure.

My anesthesiologist didn't even count me down. I got adjusted square on the table and was then waking up in recovery. Lights off---Lights on. Time flies when you're having surgery, eh?

Hopefully they will give you more of those "painkillers." I am glad you up on your feet and everything went like it should.

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles. --Jeff Cooper"

They sent me home with a bunch I'm hoping I won't really need them so I can add them to my medical preps

I had hernia surgery when I was child, I think they used the mesh thing to. I'm fine 25+ years later, sorry this provides zero info or help....
