Default Help me find a cleaning kit?

So our oldest is at Fort Leonard Wood in basic, talked to him last week and he asked if I could get him a cleaning kit for his M4. Don't ask me why in the world we have idiots in charge that will issue an M4 without a proper cleaning kit... Anyway, recommendations on a good kit, thinking relatively light weight, in it's own pouch ready to pack with him?

He's coming to enjoy it, he didn't get much outside contact for the first month or so (30-60 seconds to call and say he's ok), and he sounded pretty down then, but now they get phones for 30 minutes or so Sunday afternoons and sounds like he's over the hump and figured out why they do things the way they do. Going to be a good thing for him, we are sure proud of him and doing all we can to support him. He almost had a hard time because of his aunt, she didn't bother to read the guidelines on sending packages and was just about to send a package stuffed with 20 twix bars and a bunch of jerky and other stuff...not realizing any food sent has to be consumed by the one it's sent to RIGHT WHEN DELIVERED... That would have been bad...

wtf? When I went to benning in 2012 they issued 5-6 complete cleaning kits to the platoon and we all had to share. Others had one per squad, etc. Generally though we used a shit ton of paper towels to clean our weapons if we were waiting on a brush, rod, bore snake, etc.

We were issued these ones if you were wondering. http://www.amazon.com/PS-Products-AR.../dp/B003ITAFMS

Side note: wow they get a lot of phone time.
Sticks and stones may break bones but hollow points expand on impact.

I'll give you one for him. I have at least 2 or 3 like the one above, some maybe better, that I won at matches and will never use. You can PM me your address, or his and I will send it off tomorrow.

PM sent. THANK YOU. I am sure CJ will very much appreciate it. Like I said in the PM, I owe you some chops and bacon if we can work it out to get it to you!

Same here. We even had a 55 gallon drum cut in half like a BBQ grill filled with solvent outside the armory. And the armor was a hard ass about the weapons being spotless of carbon in every nook & cranny. I missed several dinners at the chow hall due that SOB refusing to accept weapons that he thought were not clean enough.

Thanks for letting me send it to someone who needs it. Brand new kit, some rail covers, some stickers and a bottle of BF CLP are all boxed up to ship out in the morning.
