Default Do you have a safe queen?

You know that gun you never shoot, or plan to never shoot.
You know that one that just keeps increasing in value or was so expensive that you don't dare shoot it for fear it may get a scratch.
Almost all of mine were accidents.
Guns I purchased because I like unique things and the values have skyrocketed.

    I have a few safe queens. Here's a couple.
An older saddle ring Winchester Model 94 trapper in 38 special/357 magnum. Had to put it away when I saw current value. It's in 95+% condition
Thompson Center Hawken Silver Elite. (yeah, that's right... I get offers every time I open my safe with someone present. Most don't even know what it is)
Original 10/22 International (you might need to look that one up too.)
Mini 14 with factory wood folding stock (think A-team)

    What do y'all got stashed?
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.

I have guns that I never really shoot, but only because I can't afford it and usually only shoot matches.

They're all tools that get used. No safe queens here.

For the longest time I had a 1943 Colt 1911A1 still in the Kraft box and looked unissued/unfired. Paid a bundle for it from the guy who originally bought it for $17 back in the early 60s. One day, I took it out of the safe and fondled it as usual, only this time I loaded both mags, one of which was still in the brown wax paper. I loaded them with ammo from a box of WWII vintage Winchester ammo. I shot both mags through that gun and it was a great feeling and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Then, I cleaned the gun, put it back in the box, and sold it on GunBroker for about 4.5 times what I paid.

Now I don't have a gun I won't shoot. I went through that "this is too nice/collectable to shoot" faze. Now, if I want to shoot something, regardless of how nice/old/collectable/rare it is, I shoot it. Maybe not a lot, but I'll shoot it.

Then again, I also don't care about holster wear on a nice carry gun.

I have an old WW2 era flare gun that never leaves the safe if that counts.

Several I've out away for collectors purposes. One for my son I had engraved when he was born that will be his first gun gift.
All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break em for no one.
