Need help with emissions.

So I am more than likely going to purchase a 1972 vehicle. My question is, will I have to have it tested at the air care place? I will be purchasing a collector car tag. Between trying the 'cipher the adams county and Colorado websites I'm totally confused. Thanks for the help, I will call adams county tomorrow I'm just trying to get piece of mind tonight.

Pretty sure it requires the 2-speed idle test.

Yes, Make sure you have a new gas cap. That one gets a 40% fail rate, up here.

Damn it. It won't pass with the current engine set up. Too big of a cam, etc...

Find a shop with a gas analyzer. Sometimes they can do things like adjust timing and such that will get it to pass.

Of you bought it in Colorado, it is on the seller for it to pass emissions. I can't quote the CRS, but it is posted in the emissions places.

Correct. I mentioned that to HCWT. The flip side is he can try 5X before applying for an exemption.
