Dems were specifically pushing Tancredo in the GOP primary because they wanted to paint the entire Colorado Republican party during the General elections with the (admittedly distorted) tar brush they use on Tancredo.

The big problem with Beauprez is he just doesn't get anyone energized. Got it, he isn't someone to be enthusiastic over but let's get enthusiastic over throwing the Democrats out and reversing the BS they've instituted for the past 4 years.

The Dems will be just as happy for the anti-Dem base to stay home crying in our beer as to have any of us cross-over and actually vote for their uninformed unreasoning tyrants.

Oh I'm not saying he does. Just that I knew he lost some election years ago and I hadn't heard his name in years and never expected to again.

Bob up by 10 points in recent poll. Don't slack now...get your friends and family to the polls (unless you mingle with liberals!)

    THIS! I second this idea.

I think a lot of folks are realizing that Hick shot himself in the foot a bit with his "hold Dunlap's fate hostage" idea. What an underhanded and cowardly way to run a campaign.
And Muddy- even if you mingle with liberals, try and sway them to vote against Chickenpooper. It will be tough, but if they actually listen and you present a good argument why they should be voting for Beauprez, then maybe, just maybe, you can get some to turn sides.

I doubt bob is even close to hick. I do know the DPEB has an agenda, it's not one geared for R's. This will be one of many reports saying polls put the D & R in a statistical dead heat. Or the R up by 3-5 pts. It's one of the ways to get the D base motivated in an off year election, beside espousing how bad the R's are on social issues, immigrants AND THE WAR ON WOMEN.

Not too many political polls that I would trust. The majority are slanted and are designed to achieve the results that they poll for. the only one that matters is the ballot box.

I think you guys got it right. Nowadays, polls are more tools of propaganda than an accurate pulse of the voters. The Quinnipiac polling tends to show conservative candidates with higher numbers. I'd sure like it to play out that way, but as G-K said, "I doubt bob is even close to hick". It would be sweet justice to see Hickenlooper smashed in the election for hitching a ride on the Bloomberg express. And, Udall as cheerleader for the Obamanistas needs to be put down permanently.

Like others, I have reservations about Beauprez primarily because of his big banking and big ag background. I don't know where he stands on RKBA, hunter rights and public lands access issues. But, I'm sure as heck going to vote for him just as I did when he ran against that anti-gun SOB Bill Ritter. Trouncing those despotic clowns is my kind of hope and change. The ballot box is where it counts, and I vote in every election.

Heritage State Bank was hardly "big banking."

Bob and Claudia ran that bank themselves and grew the brand before exiting, and were a great asset to the community there.

BP certainly had his issues the last go around, but like it or not, he IS the R candidate and we need to oust dickenlooper.
