Default So You want CLEAN brass?

Today I was messing with a few different solutions for cleaning brass. After some trial and error I ended up with this! I am using a rock tumbler from harbor freight, 50/50 water and vinegar, a quick squirt of lemon juice, and about a cup of steel BB's

How do the primer pockets look? I'm using SS pins, but separating them from the brass is a hassle. Balls would be easier.

I would guess the BBs don't get into the primer pockets to get them clean but I usually clean mine by hand anyways. I would also guess that they don't clean the insides of the cases very well but I could be wrong. The outside definitely looks nice. I've been thinking about experimenting with different media for my standard tumbler. I'm thinking about tossing in some metal shavings from a brake lathe and seeing what happens. Maybe I'll try some BBs as well.

they actually do a great job cleaning the inside of the shells and primer pockets. When you take them out of the tumbler you have to dump out the BB's in most shells because they work their way inside.
