Default I walked 27.9 miles yesterday!

Well a friend of mine coaxed me into it.

    Not really.

Yesterday, myself, my friend, his wife, and one of her friends spent the day rucking 12 hours with the intention of hitting 30 miles for Carry the Fallen. Carry the Fallen is an organization committed to raising awareness for the 22 veterans each day who commit suicide.
We stepped off at America the Beautiful park in Colorado Springs, through Garden of the Gods, the Air Force Academy and back. By the time we made it to old Colorado City, many of our blisters popped and we were spent.
All said and done, we were able to raise $2600 and some change for Carry the Fallen. So if you saw us yesterday, that's what we were doing. And some pictures!

That's quite an accomplishment. I've done big numbers like that, and it's not a lot of fun. Congratulations.

Cool. I saw the thread title and thought maybe your vehicle broke down and left you stranded. Sounds like a much better reason to walk.

Definitely not something I'd want to do every weekend, but regardless of the pain yesterday and today, it was so worth it.

    I need a cane haha

I was listening to something on TV this morning about the decline of patriotism in this country. You & your friends are a great example of what it means to be a patriot. Thank you.
