    Strip it, then tru oil, don't sand anything. Use a toothbrush to clean checkering while striping and to work in truoil.

    I bought Arrow wood finish from an older gentleman at the gun show. I've used it to touch up an old Sheridan and a marlin 30-30. both times I was pleased with the results. A bit time consuming, and you need a fair amount of sandpaper but it works as advertised. http://mpi.websitewizard.com/ArrowWo...leanBrite.html
