I went to the range this morning.
Range was full, and the people waiting would have filled it 2X over, so at least a 3hr wait.
    No shooting for me.
You people need to go to work!

Yesterday, put the first rounds through the Ruger Precision Rifle in .243. Went 33/34 on steel from 110 to 550 yards. Pretty happy with it. Now to work on load development, and I should probably sight it in too.

Just got done running some rounds through the '81 S&W 686 I inherited from my father in '92. Mostly .38s then finished it off with a couple cylinders of .357 just for fun. Good times for sure, it always bring back great memories of my dad for me.

Went to the south site today. Looked like the mall on Black Friday. I've never seen so many people. Traffic jams, cars stuck, people shooting without backdrops! Please be careful people. I didn't even unload my guns. No bays open.

I took a neighbor out. Found out his P938 is an accurate sob at 50 yds. Might have to add one to the ever growing list.

That's what I'm talking about. I really miss those days of hanging out with my dad in the back yard out in Iowa. We used to shoot sparrows and black birds with .22's. I remember when I saved up enough money to go buy my first .410 shotgun. My dad took me down to Hawkeye Guns in Burlington, Iowa to buy it for me. If I could only rewind time.

Even better with a good trigger.

I've been competing regularly at the Bristlecone Shooting Center on Monday nights. They have a head-to-head bowling pin competition. Took first place last Monday.

Here's the gun that won it for me along with the $50 gift card.

Took my new-ish Freedom Ordnance 9mm upper to Whistling Pines Indoor Range last night. I have had it for a while but linking 9mm rounds by hand was ugly and painful. My linker finally showed up and I linked up a 150 round belt.

I fired a few rounds on semi to verify all was well and then flipped the switch.

After about 15-20 seconds of shooting, there was a pile of brass and links on the floor and the can was smoking hot.

It was also the first time I had ever shot an AR from the hip.

    Good times.

Now to link up about 3,000 or so rounds of 147 gn subs. I think thats about all the links I have, right now.
You know I like my coffee sweet in the morning
and I'm crazy about my tea at night
