In 2019, watched 3 Bald Eagles swooping at the otters trying to steal the trout they had caught, but the otters gobbled the fish quickly. Last year the ice broke and melted in one day and I only saw one otter. It might happen again like that this year given the conditions.

20 rounds standing a couple weeks ago, no loop sling (was using hasty sling)
20 rounds today using the loop sling.
Earned this @ the Nightforce ELR Steel Challenge charity side match yesterday with my Bergara 6.5cr & Hornady 140gr eldm factory ammo. Took two rounds to hit. Match starts today but anything more this weekend is honestly just a bonus.

Started out the day pretty solid with some 4s, 5s & even a 7. Later in the afternoon the wheels came off & I zeroed one stage & my hits dropped to 1, 2 or 3 @ the remaining 4 stages. (6 or 8pts possible @ each stage, 2 for first round hits & 1 pt for re-engagements). Lots of corrections as I'm learning to read the complicated winds for these distances & @ crazy small targets, respectively. Think maybe, I just got hot & tired & lost bandwidth.
12 stages yesterday & 8 more stages today. Hopefully I come back rested & with decent mojo & finish strong today but I still have the mover stage so I'm a bit nervous as I've not done that before & hope I can sort it quickly. Glad I came to this match - it's been an amazing learning experience.

Oh, Im going to check my mv in a few hours before the match, think its changed & my data might be a little off & * could * explain why my data stopped tracking perfectly past 1400yds mid match day. Still think it was probably due to my deficit in the afternoon but I want to rule it out & or correct for it if I'm seeing what I think.

I shot 33 rounds through my BA Tactical 300WM today, 5x of 6 loads and 3 sighters.
It seems that the closer to max pressure/velocity I go with IMR4831, the better the group with 168gr and 190gr SMK’s.

Ran my Wilson Combat CQB in Fieldcraft Survival’s Gunfighter Pistol 2 today. Lots of reloads in today!
I took Gunfighter Pistol 1 and Gunfighter Carbine 1 back in January. Great training. Check them out for sure.

Sorted my data issue. Yay.
Also shot the mover stage yesterday. First target on that stage is a stationary confirmation target (so no one shoots the tracks when they shoot @ the mover). Sent my first round & missed by .1 mil, sorted the wind hold & sent a second, hit it (1pt) & was cleared to engage the mover. Added my corrected wind to my estimated ambush hold, waited for the pig to hit that subtension & sent it. Missed, barely. Adjusted again for flight time & hit it center with the follow-up shot & got 2 first rd hits thereafter for each pass l to r & r to l (5pts for 6 total). 1100ish yds on a pig silhouette.
Idk if that's the proper way to shoot a mover at those distances but I'm glad it worked. My favorite stage of the day.

Normally on Mondays I go out and gather brass. But today, 99* - nah - fugabunchathat.
