Went to DCF and put 4 mags through the '47 I got yesterday. Gun shot nice, but definitely harder recoiling than my old '74 was! Debating on whether I get a rubber buttpad or just man up and deal with it!

Fine tuned the zero on my Kimber 82G (.22 LR) for 100 yds at CMSC and rough-zeroed one of my Garands.
Did this at 100 yds, light wind, Aguila standard velocity. I wanted to try 200 yds but recent rains have buried the target frame slots at 200 yds.
I've gotten rusty. Too dang many flyers out at the range today but it felt good to try to get back in the zone. That group's about 1.5 inches side-to-side.
The Garand was happy to eat some HXP but I think it wants some Lake City now.
Back to Cheyenne Mountain with some first time shooters. Gave them a chance to shoot AR and LR-308, plus they rough zeroed the scope on each. They got to shoot a M&P 45, Beretta 92, Browning Buckmark, S&W 686 and Volkmann 1911.
I zeroed my 257 Weatherby w/Leupold VX-6 scope as well but couldn't commit too much time to it.
Lots of folks at the range but it was a good time and range was well run.
First day shooting at CRC since joining. Worked on failures and reloads with my CCW. 150ish rounds of work. Fired a two magazines with my LMT and its new barrel.
Test fired more through the savage. Got em down to 1moa. Going up 2 tenths of a grain and locking in the charge for mass production.
test fired some 223 sub's, for sheets n geegles. One day i'll actually break it down cost per round.

Ran a few rounds through my Baer TRS and most importantly finally sighted in the XPS2-O I bought a while back for my 6920. The funny part was that the guys on the two lanes to my right each hit my target!! The RO had a chat with them.
