Road tested a SA Range Officer in 9mm Figured i deserved it after loosing some weight
Going to highlight the front sight. Just a basic function test of ammo on hand ( 115 wwb, 124 & 147 jacketed hand loads) all ran fine,no issues etc.
FINALLY road tested the 23 with LW 40-9 conversion. Need a taller front sight. Took the mish mash (Trij-rear, stock front) off after i located some take off plastic) We shall see how those work, before plunking some $$ on other sights.

The kid (I want to say also 11?) that shoots with our IDPA club regularly beats 50% of the people that show up. I'm interested to see where he classified today, because I'm sure he beat every previous rank I've ever had and this is his first classification. Tell your kid he's doing a great job. No misses is damn impressive. I screwed up and pulled a shot today.

Some load and dope verification, then 150 rounds of positional practice off a ladder, a wobbly bench, a barrel, my pack and unsupported (standing, kneeling, sitting, and unsupported prone).

Pretty sure the all the Cowboy action shooters out at Pawnee Sportsman's were wondering WTF the yahoo was doing at the long range steel with a ladder and a plastic barrel on the line

Went to Blue Core Saturday, I put a Vortex Strike scope on my rifle last week. I needed to set it up. All went well. I will see how it works next Sunday at SoCo 3gun.

Finally put some rounds through the Walther PPS I picked up late last year to make sure it's carry-ready with all types of bullet types and weights. No malfunctions. Was crazy accurate with my current preferred carry round, the 124gr Federal HSTs. It's a keeper and is good-to-go.

I shot my little Mossberg Chuckster 22 Mag that I got as a present when I was a kid. First time I've shot it in probably 35 years. It still has the same crappy trigger that I remember from back then and it's shooting consistently to the left but it felt good to put some rounds through it.

Got to go to Liberty Firearms Institute pre grand opening! Invite was through my thoroughly liberal bil who just so happens to be pro 2a. Very nice setup there. Lots of room, nice ranges, seem like good people. My niece and nephew got to shoot for the first time and we all got to shoot the 45/70 Gatling gun which was pretty badass. Saw a member who works there too!
