The last actual "vacation" I took was Thanksgiving week back in 2005. Since then I get time off but don't really go anywhere, just kind of hang around the house and try not to spend any money. Since we are not allowed to take a vacation during the months of March to September, I take time off over Thanksgiving and then between Christmas and New year then carry over a few days to use as needed for the one off day or two that pops up once in a while.

I'm 47 (very soon to be 48). I've not been on a "vacation" in over 30 years (since my mid-teens with my parents). Granted, I've never convinced anyone that what I do for a living constitutes anything less than a dream vacation for most people so it might all even out.

I can't take much more than 2 days off in a row out of my work week. I'm not going to complain though, it's a great job otherwise.

We try to spend time with our elderly parents a couple of times/year. We'll take time off that includes a holiday weekend to maximize our time. Time off this year has primarily been health related.

I like to go on at least one vacation a year.... I don't like my wife to post anything cause I don't want people to know my house is empty!

Last year in October was the first time my wife and I took a week long trip since 07, and that was to visit my family in Michigan. We have taken a couple of 3 day trips to KC and Tucson to see her family, but now my annual leave accruals are sitting so high I have to take some time off or I lose a chunk of it in January. So I'll be taking a lot of 3 and 4 day weekends prior to that.

I'm lucky that I get downtime pretty much every week - but actual "vacation" in the form of trips away or extended times off is once or twice a year. Three times, tops.

Went to New Orleans for ten days in May. Gonna do Cabo for a week in November. Might work in a trip to Europe (Czech or Germany) in September.

I don't post about my trips on social media cuz... persec.

A vacation as in.. doesn't involve visiting family and doesn't involve a weekend in Colorado, I'd say once every other year or so.

Never in my 30 years of employment with different employers have I ever had a paid vacation or time off.

My average work week is between 70 and 80 hours.

I do take a 3-5 day trip to visit family every 3 years or so.

Self employed sol proprietor, last time I did not sleep in my own bed was in 2008 visiting relatives. Last real vacation and last time I called in sick 2005. Getting really burned out this year though, something's got to give.
