Default Auto dent and scratch repair

Any suggestions for best way to clean up a rock dent/scratch? Managed to get stuck literally between a rock and a hard place (tree) last weekend and put a nice dent/scratch into my door. She's new enough that I don't want to just spray paint it or something like that, but then again it is a jeep, so it's not like it's the only rock scar it will ever get. I just don't want to let rust find a place to get started. A black jeep if that matters...

Right now, it's still covered in dust and mud. I was going to give it a good washing, or maybe even take it to the corner place that does a good wash and wax. I figured the wax would be a good temp solution, but I wasn't sure if maybe I should try to touch it up first...?

Just let it ride on the Jeep. Just a scratch won't have much of a rust issue if any down the road. It's a Jeep as you said so trail rash is bound to happen if you are on anything above a dirt road.

Try some black car wax on the scratch. How bad is the dent?
