    Default Favorite Patriotic Movie?

    What's your favorite patriotic movie?

I'm kind of split between The Patriot and Red Dawn.

The President's speech in Independence Day puts that one near the top of the list too.

I really liked The Patriot. Red Dawn is pretty darn good too. I actually saw that in theaters when it first came out. Even the remake of Red Dawn wasn't too bad.

I have to agree with The Patriot, Red Dawn, Miracle, and Top Gun

I'll add Rocky 4 (even though Sly is crazy) and Apollo 13 (to see what the U.S. could do)

Yeah, the remake is pretty decent as far as remakes go.
I don't make the rules. I just think them up and write them down.

Red Dawn was good as was The Patriot

Not sure if I have that one Patriotic movie???

For me a definite Patriotic "show" not a movie would be the America Our Country series, Founding Fathers; Rebels with a cause. I thought it was very well put together trying to get my young boys to watch it and learn a little since school is not there yet.

"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles. --Jeff Cooper"

This might seem a bit silly, but there is a movie called Battleship that I like. Not really what I would call a patriotic movie but the scene where the main character asks the WWII vets to borrow their ship is pretty cool.
