There are a lot of other war movies that make me feel good about America (like The Longest Day, Patton, Glory, Gettysburg (especially Chamberlain's speech to the "mutineers" of the 2d Maine), We Were Soldiers, etc.) and others like Apollo 13 that also make me proud about what America has done but I'm not sure I'd classify them as patriotic movies.
I am rather curious why someone classified Born on the Fourth of July as a patriotic movie as I felt Oliver Stone spit on America (it remains the only movie I've ever walked out on) -- not arguing, trying to get your viewpoint.
