Default Fixing up wall after in wall cat door removal.

So, no pic right at hand. But Charlie did me a favor when I moved in and left to get the fiancee's stuff, in his seperation anxiety craze (which is usually not bad) he removed the in wall cat door the house had. Shreaded it but door seems to be mostly in same condition as it was from when they originally sawed it out to install door.

Think it's best to have someone else do since it's outside wall also or ? I do have the matching paint somewhere amongst like 20 cans that were left for us, finding it is the trick. I am not sure what to do about trying to match the outside paneling (Horizontal slats sorts, holes is across 2 or 3 of them.) The interior drywall is easy I'd imagine. Also would want to stuff it with some kind of insulation.

My personal thought (vs the hubbeys) was just put another cat or dog door in for if/when we add a 2nd dog to keep him company or a cat. I cant get one big enough for him though as it's underneath a window.

Advice? Anyone who could do this kinda job in the Frederick area?

Might be easier to install the same size door or the biggest one you can. They are pretty simple to install especially if the hole is already cut. If you go bigger you will need a sawzall and a long drill bit and caulking.

It could be fixed but check if a 2x4 support was cut, might think about adding something back in, then the insulation and interior wall would be easy.
Exterior I would add flashing and the black tar paper, then its more cosmetic after that if you want to piece in a few boards that look the same and paint to try to hide the seams or put in new across the bottom to hide seams.

Lowes or home depot can match paint no problem, just take in a chip or sample. They can make you a sample size can to test out which would probably be more than enough if you patch the hole.
All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break em for no one.
