It's not an attack, but a legit question. How would you, or anyone here address / deal with Terrorism? Perhaps i'll start a new discussion regarding this subject. After lunch. Everyone keep their eyes open and keyboards warm

In my opinion, its the intended outcome that determines if it is terrorism, regardless of the source. If its the dumbass kid planting shine bombs in the forest, or an organized group based here or outside the states, if the intention is to cause damage, a higher state of alertness, or a draining of resources, it is Terrorism. I do agree that far to many things are labeled as terrorism these days. However, in this specific case, we see one device (officially) and have an official warning of the possible of multiple devices. (Scuttlebutt is another was found and is being examined for evidence) The device that exploded fits the profile of a similar suggested item from an online terrorist magazine that anyone with WIFI can access. I'm not saying this event is the work of Jihadis, Chinese, Koreans, Militia, Lone Wolf, Hippie Enviros, or Umpaloompas. What I can say with confidence is that someone did this and they are a dick.

What I intended for this post is to inform the collective that so far one person ( a forest service employee) was injured by a device found in the woods and the warning has gone out that we should be on the lookout for similar items. I figured that maybe people on this forum were like me in that they spend time outdoors enjoying nature, and like me, were the type to kick over abandoned mason jars of unknown source and liquids if encountered.

My mentioning of the fires and power station attacks may have been a little misleading. My intention there was to point out that there has been a rash of dick moves lately that have gone largely unnoticed by the mainstream press. Meaning multiple station attacks and suspicious fires. Again I don't know whether there is one group, multiple groups, or copycat lone assholes starved for attention. Once again, my only certainty is that any party or parties involved in causing these situations..... are dicks.
