Hey Tim, it works better if you read all the posts first.![]()
I agree...Mtn.man66,67,68,69,70,71,72,73....lol First gen Broncos rock. That will most likely be my next project, the Wife likes them better. 351 EFI, 5 spd, Dana 60 front, 14 bolt rear.
Webster pass and RedCone pass just outside of Grant are decent places too. I have friends who own the gold mine 3/4 of the way up Webster pass I go wheelin shootin up there all the time!
Slaughter House Gulch is a great place to take someone who's never wheeled before. I've only done Redcone once and it was one of my favorite runs we ever did. We did it at night and the bottom was moist, then as we got to the top there was snow. Then when we got out of the trees, it was a blizzard and we didn't go to the top or down the other side, so I never got to do the scary part.
"There are no finger prints under water."
Cool! Very good info, I had forgot about those trails. Thanks!
Do I see a wheeling trip in our future?
The goldmine that was owned by _____ and family has been blown up by usfs. and cleaned up, still alot of water coming out of the ground. If it is the one I know.
there are several back on the turn off trail before you start up Webster/Redcone.
We went last July and a whole Rented jeep of people from NY came down Redcone the look on their faces was PRICELESS. the women had to PEE, and so did the dudes..LOL
They asked if there was another way down the Mtn.. we lied and told em NO, gotta go down Webster, they walked out on the edge and then came back to the jeep,, we then told em we were full of it and if they continued down the trail they would come out in a little town and the eventually follow the signs to Keystone.
We took their pics for them and off they went...
