Looks like he's driving a Honda. If I were a sheriff and some dipshit pulled me over, I'd tell him that I'll be sure to go the speed limit on the way to his house if he ever calls the police.
"There are no finger prints under water."
Not sure what to think about that. But I bet a local news reporter would have been all over that if the language was cleaner in the video.
did you notice about 3 min into the video they blow through a stop sign?
Sir!!! Sir!!! May I suggest using your night stick?
I personally thought the video was great. Either it was a scam, or the dude was just ballsy enough to go after him and the sheriff knew he fucked up and couldn't do a thing about it.
I am guessing if it was real the sheriff was fired. no reason for him to go blasting through town like that putting people at risk. then he blasted through a stop sign.
a badge doesn't mean being above the law even though some people think so. I would like to see the sheriff nailed for this one.
He's a Deputy, the Sheriff is his boss... they're human, they make mistakes..
and everywhere that I know of, Sheriff is an elected position.. so bad PR will usually result in someone taking the fall..
I agree that this would've been all over mass media if he'd kept the language clean..
HAHA bad LEO. Bad LEO! Thats a zero.![]()
I agree. I saw a lot of abuse from other LEOs while I played cop. I figured that I had to hold myself to *a minimum* of the same standard I was holding everyone else to - on and off the job.
I constantly see Colo Spr Police vehicles seriously speeding without the use of their lights or siren (sirens are rarely used anymore..and as I understand it, the use if the lights is seldom required. I've witnessed this sort of thing not just from CSPD, but other departments as well). If it isnt safe for John Q. Public to exceed the speed limit and make rapid lane changes, what makes it any safer for an LEO to do these things? If they are responding to a call or pursuing a suspect then they should have their lights on to provide warning to other drivers that they (the LEO) are proceeding unsafely - especially at intersections. The irony is that someone has the audacity to hold someone accountable to the same laws that they routinely break while on duty and in the uniform that marks them as someone responsible for maintaining the law. I know that not every officer does this, but I'd wager that most do. Right is right and wrong is wrong and if you can't abide by the laws, don't enforce them on others - PERIOD.
Perhaps you all now understand why I went back to being an IT guy and am not doing the LEO thing.
