vepr conversion from v2 to v1?

i have a vepr v2 but want a regular rear sight block for a build idea. does anyone know if these can be swapped? based on the size differences i assume not, but i can't find detailed information on how they are actually put together and how different the rear sight blocks are. was hoping someone has looked at it before.
