I do have a regular old humidifier, could always run that next to the parts in the garage. Just might work and be worth a shot.

Ended up using the Birchwood Casey Perma Blue on a white barrel. After a few coatings it turned out ok. Not perfect, some areas took better than others. It's an ak so not supposed to be pretty.
