My dad was an illegal (retired principal engineer for a division of catepillar now,) and in my younger years as a poor boy I spent a lot of time living in that community (mostly hispanic, but a surprising number of Africans as well.) Never seemed overwhelmingly violent to me, living there, though of course there were gangs. For the most part they just seemed like people who wanted to come here to work and live quiet lives. Hard to be angry at that.

Fortunately, you are the anchor baby, and dont know what it feels like to be a legal immigrant and only to be put in the back of the line of the illegals. I despise them. If I could make it here legally and was able to bring my lil bro and parents here legally. ANYONE should be able to.

If the illegals want shortcut, at least dont sacrifice those who do it legally. Obama is doing just that.
