    The SIRT is pricier up front, yes. However when you factor in the cost of batteries, I think it's better in the long run. The tiny watch batteries that the bore insert lasers run off of are expensive, and they don't last nearly as long.

    Plus having the SIRT as a dedicated unit means it's much easier to just grab it off the counter and go. Since it's not a real pistol, you don't have to pull it out of the safe, stick the bore insert laser in, etc. Convenience = more daily practice.
