Default Question for you girly-man types

So, I've been trying understand how any man can get through life without owning a pick up truck. I probably got my first truck when I was twenty and have had one ever since.

One of my coworkers doesn't own a truck and I just don't get it. Carpentry is his biggest hobby and he will strap lumber to the roof of his mini van. He recently bought a new table saw and had it delivered.

Don't misunderstand me. It's not like I haul stuff in my truck or tow things very often. But when I need to or want to I can do it on a moments notice.

I saw a couple of metrosexual looking college aged guys at Lowe's recently who bought themselves a new grill. They took it out of the box and had parts and pieces stuffed everywhere they could get them in their Toyota Corolla. They were trying to figure out how the second guy was going to get home since he could no longer fit in the car with all of the grill parts and pieces in there. I just laughed, got in my truck, and left.

So, for those of you who don't own a truck, how do you guys do it?

    Inquiring minds want to know.

Hell...I've got two and that's not enough.

No truck here. Well, I have an Xterra and thats built on a truck bed, does that count?

I own guns and avoid buying CCW purses.

Besides, the only time I've never actually needed a truck was years ago when I bought a motorcycle in Ft Collins and had to pick it up.

It's real simple, my manly self image doesn't rely on what I am driving.

Apparently that's true for your sense of humor, too.

Giving benefit of the doubt - if they've never owned a truck they probably just don't know any better. My first truck was a '65 Chevy stepside (it wasn't that old at the time), man I miss that truck.

My first car at 17 was a 3/4 ton GMC. I've only been without a truck at one point of my life for a couple of years and I hated it. If you can only afford one vehicle and a truck does not fit you general needs then I get it. At this point in my life I will always have a truck, a car, and a motorcycle. That is manditory for me.
