Body lifts will allow for larger tires and more suspension.
Larger tires will get you more ground clearance.
More suspension will get you better traction over large obstacles.

I've been away from the hard core off-roading for several years.
There are several on this board who can school me on the subject.

Okay! Thanks, davsel. I didn't realize the part about the clearance (although I guess I didn't really think it through.)

...I'll also add that there wasn't a speck of dust on it. This truck looked like someone washed it daily and buffed it lovingly with a soft diaper. It's definitely someone's baby.

For the record I like trucks.I used to get paid to drive pretty cool trucks owned by Uncle Sam. Wish I was my own LEO Agency so I could get a free 6x6 MRAP.
Im not suggesting if you dont need a truck you shouldnt own one. I dont need an AR-15 either but I'll be damned if someone tells me I shouldnt. Still most folks I know dont hunt except at the frozen food section, dont do much yard work or grow their own food. Unfortunate as that is it is what it is. Growing up in rural Ohio my Dad had a E-350 diesel 15 pack van a Massey Ferguson 165 tractor, and a 12' trailer. We never needed a pickup.

My truck gets washed when it rains. I immediately try to find a mud pit.

Yep... I own that van along with other vehicles

It was a bitch trying to load things in my lil Jetta. When I was racing I was given the option of towing my bike around. I looked at how much it would cost me to buy a trailer and get a tow hitch installed to my Jetta. I did some thinking and put some numbers together and said "F*ck all that!"
    For a few hundred dollars more... I got a sweet deal on this beast of a 5.7 V8 cargo van/toy hauler/Pedo van/murder van/etc.....

But doesn't the mattress in the back take up most of the cargo space?

my question for the manly men in the trucks is why you drive so damn slow in the left lane? when i'm passing the manly men in a 94 land cruiser with 223K miles on it that can barely get out of its way, you know they're slow.
