Default This is pretty much the best documentary ever

Werner Herzog has made a lot of great documentaries, but Little Dieter Needs to Fly is pretty much the best. Fascinating tale about a German-born man who flew for the USAF and was a POW during the Vietnam War. Dieter Dengler's story is also what inspired the just so-so movie Rescue Dawn starring Christian Bale and also directed by Herzog.

Sadly, Dengler suffered from ALS and ended his life with a shot to the head.

The whole documentary is on YouTube, but I would just buy the DVD as it's worth having in your collection.
